Located in the City of Charleston, the U.S. 17 Corridor Congestion Improvement Study will focus on the three-mile stretch of U.S. 17 from West Ashley's Avondale Avenue, over the Ashley River, and to the end of the Septima P. Clark/Crosstown Expressway at Coming Street.  Mobility improvements along this section of the of the U.S. 17 Corridor have been identified in other City and County planning studies. This project is the next step to provide further technical analyses on those recommendations and to gather community feedback for prioritization of the improvements.  Working together, we will develop a master plan for short-term and long-term congestion improvements that addresses current and future traffic along this heavily traveled corridor.
